Making Invitations

When my friend Joe, decided to help me out by agreeing to put a link to my blog about How to Make Invitations on his website, I didn’t think he was serious. I mean, this was coming from a guy who hadn’t done a thing for the 4th of July for the last three years. What did he care about party planning, or making personal invitations or helping me out with launching my little blog? However, when he asked me for the link and asked me to write a short intro about my blog here…I began to think different. Maybe he did have a fun and generous side to himself after all. Maybe he didn’t think I was as silly as I thought he did. Or maybe he just felt sorry for me… Anyway, whatever the case, I decided to give it a shot and write a short intro. With any luck, hopefully you all will be reading my blog soon and planning fabulous parties of your own. Maybe my friend Joe will even attend some of them!

Anyway, as I was saying, my blog is called How to Make Invitations and as you can probably guess from the title, I go through all the basics of how to make party invitations from start to finish. This knowledge can be applied to any type of party from birthdays, to weddings, tea parties, Easter egg hunts, brunch parties, costume parties, engagement parties, bachelorette parties, quinceanera parties, Christmas parties, Halloween parties, retirement parties, Memorial Day parties, anniversary parties, house-warming parties, bar mitzvah parties, beach parties…and just basically any type of party you can think of. I will give you a run-down of the items you will need to create your invitations, most of which you can find at any art supply store or stationary store. Some basic items you will definitely need are paper, scissors and glue. I also provide information on how to word the greetings at the top of your invitation card, and also what sort of pertinent information you will need to include in the body of the card such as date, time and location, and other such things like whether there will be a dance, musik (music) cake, or presents involved…

Once you have the invitations done, I even provide guidance on different ways to deliver your invitations. You will want to take into consideration whether you want your invitations hand delivered or sent through the mail. You will have to plan a route and make a list of all the addresses you will need to stop at in order to plan your route efficiently. Googlemaps or yahoomaps can help you plan your route as they allow you to input multiple addresses at once which will help you go from point A, to B, to C. This can be pretty useful especially with gas prices so high these days. Anyway, I hope you will take a look at my blog soon. It isn’t a very long article and I would love to be able to help someone out if they’re thinking of planning a party, or even if they aren’t. Maybe reading my blog will put you in a party planning mood! So here you go, the link is http://howtomakeinvitations.net …Hope to see you soon!
